Why are we Republic?

I feel very embarrassed to accept that...after hearing, studying, and knowing the term 'Republic' for so many years...till today I had never cared to know the real spirit of the Republic. I only knew that, its something related to freedom and an important term from my Civics books of school. Today on the eve of REPUBLIC DAY, as it crossed again my mind....I felt pity on myself...I am sooooo ignorant.....Actually the question that came in my mind was, whats the difference between Independence day and Republic day..except the fact that Constitution came into practice on 26th Jan.

Naturally I googled it...got few simple but effective answers.

Well, Independence means that we are not ruled by others...or are not governed by someone whom we dont want. We are ourselves. We are left on our own. It is the fact that the people of a certain country can take their own decisions for their good. They can elect their representatives to form the govt, and the govt will take decisions for the good of the people as whole.

So everything is there in Independence, why do we need to be a Republic?

Now lets take a simple fact....every country or region will always have some section of people who would be majority(like Hindus in India, Whites in Britain etc) or powerful class (may be, because of historic reasons). It is highly possible that the majority might form the govt and rule the country. Now what if they get deviated from their prime duty and frame laws for the benefits of only a section or the majority....what if their policies deny the minorities or the weaker sections of their basic rights???

So, here comes the Constitution as the Ultimate savior.

It is the ultimate source of power. No govt...no majority...no powerful class......or for that matter...NO ONE...can deny a person....whatsoever weak he is or poor he is.....from his basic 'God given' rights. To know these rights we can refer to Fundamental right in Constitution of India.
Also, even if we become the most powerful person in the country, we can not heed ourselves from the basic DUTIES toward this country and its society.
Simply put, neither can anyone rob us from our basic rights nor can we turn blind to the basic duties of ourselves.

And the source of all these powers is the CONSTITUTION.

So all our birth rights are safeguarded by Constitution and no majority or powerful entity can deprive us from them. The Constitution became operational in 26th January, 1950. Hence we celebrate REPUBLIC DAY.

The Constitution assures our real freedom. Freedom of the Human Dignity.

Its a boomerang for your own people....

Dear friends,

This evening i saw in news that there is a 94 days blockade in Manipur state...mind it NINETY FOUR.......all the essential elements have become scarce.. the video showed that a hospital was running short of oxygen cylinders....of drip bottles....patients were gasping for air.....the agitators who are demanding a separate district are not allowing even these extreme essential elements into state..they even burnt down a truck load of medicines....so what can the common men expect from these hooligans...who are just pretending to be messiahs..but instead they are strangulating their own people to death. They should learn form Telengana agitators....i can say this because i was here when it took place. Telengana agitators at least did not rob people of essentials. We could at least breathe. And there were no harm to common men. So please wake up. Go and fight the Govt. Block Chief ministers residence if you feel so...ask Governor to come out. Why let these innocent patients choke without oxygen????WHY??

hiiii.....

with continuation to the earlier post i would continue to impress that it is not one occasion that i felt that so called bizzare feeling but a series of small yet important events that made me feel that we should be also grateful to those persons who arrive from nowhere....just at time when we are stuck with our problem and give some simple tips that actually solves our problem. they dont have any relation with us nor they expect 'thanks' from us...and it seems they were just sent to help us in that moment. so my hats off to them again. god bless them and also give us the sensibility and courage to help others.

Actually i left my earlier post little bit unfinished so wanted to make my self more clearer.
Stay happy.. bbyeee,

my gratitudes...

hi , everyone...
it was really a different world i encountered after i passed out of college, where i was living more on grossly unrealistic ethos. poor guy ... but soon i was out of my college the first thing i could make out was that the world actually runs so fast!!! even a shift of few minutes can cost you so dearly..gosh..its insane...but as you have to learn i started to run & run trying to match up the speed of insanity. every day , every minute would count... but what i realized that however efficient you may be but it takes some very tiny but very important contributions from many people around you....here i am not talking about my immediate family, because they form my basis of existence, no questions about their contributions,,right!!! its about all those people whose small, good gestures may have spared me from prolonged sufferings. its about the old man in the busy , crowded bus stand, where none have the time to spare a breath, who says you about the bus number speeding to your destination. because of that small token of sympathy i could catch the bus at the right time in an unknown city.... should i not be grateful to him at least for a minute!!! i feel i should, and i am. i wont be coming across him in life but i remember him as a emissary of goodness & humanity...there are many instances i will quote... but for now its quite late. i have got a lecture in the morning at 8. bye .... stay happy...
